I joined in on a Stick Zoom gathering where both Mad Monk and Gene Perry offered to lend me Sticks to try out when I mentioned that I didn't actually have one. Mad Monk is nearby (ish.) so I drove up and now I have a Railboard.
There is a ground loop/hum in my setup. I also needed to use Hi-Z for anything approaching a decent sound. Wasted time on this and trying to play without the buzzing in the beginning of any note.
Spacing between frets seem long to me. I consistently underestimate the distance I need to jump. Mostly playing with right hand since that's in fourths which is what I'm used to on the linnstrument but left hand alone isn't as foreign as I might have guessed. (at least when practicing the same figure over and over.)
